I would like to pin point without much ado touching some key important things to know about what you have or who you really are.

You all must know that and already be conversant with the general saying that :
you cannot give what you don’t have

This boils down to who you really are, what you’re made up of, your constituents or perse, your real personality. It tells much about your idiosyncrasy, Your mentality, your manners, your reasoning, your perception, your approaches to what matters. In a nut shell the you, in the real sense with or without pressure.

Briefly , I would divert a bit into physic whee I would like to connect the idea. Don’t mind me please if you’re not a science student, I would try to break it down a bit. In physics, under particle nature of matter…. We were told that matter is made up of minute (very small) particles called atom.

Someone must have come across this small thing. According to the Greek philosophyler, Democritrus, a given piece of substance , say a piece of yam can be cut into smaller and smaller bits, until eventually a smallest piece of that substance would be obtained. Which could not be further subdivided called Atom.

This atom is what you have trust me. I’m still coming to that fully, As some may say if I may ask “what do you have” …there might be answers like :

1. I have good height
2. I have long legs
3. I have fine fingers
4. I have light complexion and among others

All these reminds me of your physical appearance And just that, Forget thou not that even you are a matter and inside of you is the smallest piece (the real what you have) called atom. And this what you have take part in chemical reactions as an atom does , such chemical reactions are liken to the environment you find yourself, the situation, or condition what so ever, the people you meet, or relate with and among others.

Do you know the beauty your atom(what you have) is that it combines with another atom (of another person) to give a reasonable and beautiful molecules.

Take for instance
If you have 2 atoms of hydrogen and Mr Olu needs just your hydrogen to add to his own oxygen ….then you have him water
Your hydrogen combined with his oxygen gave him water
You don’t necessarily need to give bigger this which is water here that you don’t even have, but just your hydrogen, can support someone’s life

I’m sorry if you’re not getting me yet.
Not to worry, I am going to make it clearer enough so you all get my logic, But before then, I would like you to paint this picture in your head. What you have is what speaks louder about you, What you have does not necessarily state your status being poor or rich, being fat or slim, being short or tall, being handsome, beautiful or ugly

You will agree with me that :
1.Not all beautiful ones are wise.
2.You can’t tell who is brilliant by height either
3. You can’t tell who has patience, perseverance, generosity, compassion, sympathy, hospitality and among other good edifying feature by mere physical appearance…..
It’s deep down of them….

What you have is what you give when you’re nothing.
What you have is how you react when someone makes you very angry
What you have is how you deal with situations
What you have is how you treat people no matter the tribe, state, religion, gender etc

What you have is not your possession nor wealth.
We have rich men outside there that lack giving, they are too stingy (what we say of them is that they are stingy in spite they are rich)
And you meet some poor folks that accommodate you with an overwhelming hospitality with the rags, and the poor food that they have and deep inside of you , you can tell of their boiling desire to help if they had.

Someone throwing trash to you does not demand you to throw back same if what you have is not wickedness or other vices
The person that threw the trashes is likened to being inhumane, wicked and that’s all he had
You only need to have tolerance in its full extent, kindness, gentleness, humility, perseverance, endurance, contentment, etc to represent your personality
Despite whatsoever anyone’s does to you, treats you, talks to you, makes you feel, blackmails you or whatsoever…….your reaction to all of this is what you have and these go a long way to paint you
What you

Lastly
He pours rain for all
He shines sun for all
He sends breeze for all
Despite our wickedness
Despite our unfaithfulness
Despite our stubbornness
Despite our disobedience
Etc…

Do you know why???
What he has is :
Love
Compassion
Forgiveness
Tolerance
Kindheartedness

So, what so ever any one does to you,
Despite whatsoever
Let what you have rings loud than who you are (your position or appearance)

What defines a man these days is your outward appearance and possessions as we all know.
People say of what they see of you .
But as Yoruba would say ” Eefin ni iwa ” this iwa is what you have .
You can never hide it.
If you cover it with blankets, it would still escape.
So people assuming you to be who you’re not, and taking you with so much honour, someday, you’d give them what you have and they would see who is under the masquerade
