RECTOR’S CUP: Estate Management thrash Nutrition And Dietetics
Naijapary.com.ng Reporter G.song gathered that the day two (2) of the Federal Polytechnic Ede Rector’s Cup continued with sensational performances from various teams .
In the female football tournament, the Flamingos of Building Technology triumph over their surveying counterpart by a lone goal to nil in a very tough contest, hitting building bricks on their surveying opponent who left their brick weapon at home but instead brought surveying weapon, the Building Technology victory gave the flamingos a steep hill to climb in the competitive Rector’s Cup tournament .
Similarly, in the male football contest, it was a fair game as the Hospitality, leisure and Tourism Management (HLTM) and the Library and Information Science eagles settled for a goal appease though both teams struggled to get into the game either offensively or defensively.
In another match, it was a disappointing encounter, the match between the cheetah of architecture technology and the chipolopolo of marketing ended in a goalless draw,the Marketing side were off and running while the architecture technology had the better opportunities to take an early lead but not as expected,were unable to find a way through the well – compacted marketing defence,though both teams missed a hatful of chances and was ineffective in front of goal .
Naijapary.com.ng gathered that It was a straight forward – victory for the defending champion and now a favourite,the Indomitable Eagle of Estate management continued in their sparkling form that was displayed last year’s Rector’s Cup Mundial as they build an Estate round their Nutrition and Dietetics opponent, embarrassingly trashing them by a convincing four goals to one, now Estate Management’s thrashing of Nutrition and Dietetics could be a “dangerous” result for their Rector’s Cup hopefuls,the feeble Nutrition and Dietetics warriors were unable to develop any momentum as the indomitable eagles of Estate Management put on a fine display of high pressing to disrupt them.
Another interesting encounter saw the Office Technology and Management Warriors managed a 1 – 0 victory over the pitch fighter of Civil Engineering ,the Civil Engineering were unable to find a way past the OTM warrior’s new resurgent team,on paper the Civil Engineering are the preferred but tactically OTM were much better as expected while a lacklustre Civil Engineering simply didn’t show enough ambition or aggression to break through OTM warrior’s well-organised team .
