The dire need for a solid and sustainable development of any institution cannot be over-emphasized.
Many thought there was nothing a head would do except administering the institution. But since this present pathfinder emerged the Rector of the noble Polytechnic Ede, there seems to be no end to structural and academic development in the school.
The School, Federal Polytechnic Ede is blessed with a resourceful leader who possessed a vision of holistic development for the institution, that great personality is none other than the far – sighted and forward looking Rector of Federal Polytechnic Ede,Dr. John Taiwo Adekolawole.
The distinguished leader right – turned the institution to a resourceful institution committed to transforming lives of students, producing multilevel technical manpower and most importantly in advancing management for a sustainable development of the institution. indubitably, what makes his leadership style and achievements so far in that critical area of Governance remarkable is the glaring fact that he is making good his promises.
These preambles are in recognition of another giant stride embarked upon by the ratiocinating and ever – dynamic Rector, just of recent the institution experienced laudable plans and projects to complement development in taking the great polytechnic Ede to the next level. Against the backdrop of incessant strikes by labour unions in the nation’s polytechnics system recent time which has left the school behind,his leadership style has adopted mechanism in stabilizing the institution academic calendar, not just that but also doing the best to sustain the stability asset the institution possessed.
Agreeably, one of his greatest achievements so far was the change in the attitude of staff and students, as people now appreciate that benefits must go with responsibilities, staff and students were now exhibiting ‘ownership spirit’ in the discharge of their various responsibilities in the institution.
Notable progresses made so far that caught the ice of the eyes are; Stability and maintenance of the academic calendar which has made the institution to graduate students on time and mobilize them promptly for National Youth Service Corps,aside this landmark achievement of academic calendar Stability, his leadership has embarked on industrial – wise project: extraction of omega -3 from fishing,introduction of cassava plantation to increase the internally generated revenue (IGR) Without necessarily waiting for the so – called Federal Allocation for the institution .
Conclusively, effective administration is the foundation which the success of an institution is built, this great paddler deserves due credits for paddling our ship to progress.
Dear Rector,do not relent in jettisoning your magnanimity and great deed, i submit tentatively.
