Hunter, a former Walsh University football player who went missing was found dead. He was only 24 years old.

Melanie Pritchard Polk shared this sad news on a heartbreaking social media post. The statement reads,

They FINALLY found my son yesterday in the basement of his sober living house. He is no longer suffering. I lost him to the drug demons. So many amongst us are powerless to their unrelenting attacks.

He told me he had many great talks with those he reached out to in the last several weeks. He was very happy,full of life and fighting hard against those demons. Hunter left it all on the field.

He touched so many lives in his short 24 years.

Her mother says, He was an extraordinary man with a heart of solid gold. My favorite word to describe him was always…charming. He had an unforgettable smile. I wish I could look into his big brown eyes,hold his ginormous hands and get one last kiss and hug,melting in his 6’5″ 250# stature again. Part of me left this earth with his soul.

Hunter was remembered for his kindness. He served as Polk’s Scrap Iron and Metal’s office manager from May 2013 to January 2018. He worked there for a total of 4 years and 9 months.

Hunter worked as the Chief Executive Officer of Woodline Marketing. He was the proprietor of Buckeye Cyber Defense, a company in Columbus, Ohio, in the United States.

Family and friends were saddened by his death. He was declared deceased on Tuesday, April 4, 2023. Hunter was born on May 15th, 1998 in Zanesville, Ohio, the son of Peter and Melanie Polk.

He attended Duquesne University from 2016 to 2017, where he earned a Bachelor of Business Administration with a major in Business, Management, and Related Support Services.
