See What Happened to Man Who Took a Thousand Milligram of Tramadol (Photo)
Etim, a 20-year-old man popularly known as Ratty, has died after he reportedly took over a thousand milligram of tramadol in Obaganya Otukpo, Benue State, Daily post reports.
Reports said the victim was rushed to Abba clinic at Ogiri Oko street when he became unconscious after taking the drugs substance on April 30.
A source explained that the victim died on Wednesday after spending three days at the hospital , noting that the tramadol dosage he took was too much for his system to withstand which led to the destruction of some vital organs.
The source said,
“He became extremely weak and couldn’t even say a word throughout his stay at the hospital till he gave up the ghost.”
It was further gathered that the victim was buried on Wednesday.
Meanwhile, in a bid to curb avoidable deaths like this, the Minister of Health, Prof. Isaac Adewole, has ordered the National Agency for Food and Drug Administration and Control to ban the importation of codeine in preparing cough syrups.
