Most Students in higher educational system (Universities/Polytechnic) tend to depend on their parents,guardians,or sponsors for financial supports. But sometimes they are some definite money requested but unfortunately ends up on personal interest…winks!

University students can’t oblige the fact that they have told several lies to get money from their parents. Every student with different method in as much as they are able to convince their parents. I will briefly explain some funny but true ways students commonly extort money from their parents.

1. INCREASE IN SCHOOL FEES

This is very common amidst some university students in extorting money from parents parents. They intend to increase the actual school fees so as to supplement their wants. These are set of students when tell their parents school fees is #120,000 when the actual fee is #60,000(twice the actual fee), you guys know yourself ooo and dont hide from the truth..lol

Some illiterate parents won’t understand that it was all lies, so they tend to fall victim of such mendacious act.

2. FAKE SICKNESS

Some students can be so funny sometimes. These are set of students that pretend to fall sick at school, because they know their parents will definitely send money for medical bills. Fibs are told to satisfy personal desires.

They give false look on video calls and even sick tone on voice call just to convince their parents about their fake health status in other to swindle some funds. As we all know most parents don’t joke with children’s health so since they are clueless about their present status,they are propelled to send money for medical treatments. Most Ladies use this trick (lol…please oo,I’m just saying, no harm abeg), doesn’t mean guys don’t do same anyways.

3. RAISE HANDOUTS

This is another common way students extort money from parents. these set of students are endowed with the gift of raising the actual cost of a material. ( lol…what a gift). They increase the cost of handouts in other to supplement wants (ladies, commonly make-ups, clothes and hair do, while for guys, bar/club and spend on Ladies too).

Increments in Handouts has raised some students standard in school. Lol..

4. CONSECUTIVE MATERIALS

These are funny set of students who collects money weekly from their parents for one material or the other. They tend to tell fibs to parents telling them the school or lecturer asked them to purchase a particular material or the other which is inarguably false. Some parents may feel inclined giving out funds since they said their lecturers asked them to buy it. Funds of such are spent on personal interest and satisfaction.

5. EMPTY FOOD STUFFS

This kind of students call home most times telling them their food stuffs are finished which is false. They know that parents always feel concerned about food stuffs because it’s basically students’ means of survival.

They tell fibs that food stuffs are exhausted in order extort money from them. And to those student who love food, they fall victim of such act. (Don’t run away from the truth dear readers…lol)
