Morghan Medlock, Lil Wayne’s former cook, is suing him for $500,000, claiming that the musician unlawfully fired her when she had to tend to her injured son.

Why was Lil Wayne sued by his chef?

According to the woman in a recent lawsuit, Lil Wayne abruptly fired his personal chef after she left him in Vegas to attend to a serious family issue.

Lil Wayne, 40, was fired wrongfully, subjected to retribution, and engaged in many prohibited labor practices during his more than a year-long job with the musician just since she went to assist her hurt son.

In court documents, Medlock stated that she joined the Lollipop artist, who threw a Weezy Christmas bash at a Dave & Buster’s for 150 youths over the weekend in New Orleans, in Las Vegas during the Memorial Day weekend in her stead as the rapper’s chef. She claims she was just doing her job, which included preparing all of LW’s meals.

Medlock obviously wanted to return to L.A. as soon as possible once she heard that his son had a head injury. But alleges Wayne and company were delaying the flight. She took another flight and went to take care of her injured son.

She was fired in violation of California law because it is illegal to terminate someone for being absent from work in order to care for their ill or injured child, and she is suing Wayne for at least $500,000.

Who is Morghan Medlock?

Morghan Medlock is a professionally trained chef who was graduated with a Culinary Arts Diploma. She worked as a personal Chef for Rapper, Lil Wayne.

The 40-year-old Lil Wayne is being sued for $500,000 by Morghan, his former cook. According to Medlock, she started working with Lil Wayne on October 2020 and was given the responsibility of organizing his “menus daily to satisfy his special needs,” according to reports.

Her duties, according to court documents, “included, but were not limited to the purchase and preparation of each meal, organizing the projected number of meals to prepare, as well as meeting others’ demands and requests,” she said, adding that she was ‘on call’ for the most of the time.

Medlock told the court that while on the trip, she was informed that her 10-year-old son was hospitalized in Los Angeles with a “serious head injury and concussion requiring emergency hospitalization.”

Lil Wayne, whose real name is Dwayne Michael Carter, Jr., allegedly delayed the departure of the return trip by consuming marijuana inside the plane, according to Medlock. In this case, the former chief of the celebrity is requested at least $500,000.

After that, according to Medlock, she took a different flight and contacted Lil Wayne’s management.She left because of the circumstances and thought they would understand.

Why did Lil Wayne fire Medlock?

Medlock’s employment was terminated at the time, and she claimed that members of the rapper’s camp repeatedly asked her if she was quitting, to which she replied that she wasn’t.

After taking care of her family, Medlock said that she attempted to go back to her employment for the musician, but was given “the cold shoulder”

Before she was formally let go, Medlock said a member of Lil Wayne’s crew texted her what was described as “an ungraceful goodbye message,” according to TMZ.

She claimed that Lil Wayne had texted her, telling her to “tell Chef Morghan this isn’t going to work,” and charged the rapper with “conduct with a serious component and causing harm to her including but not limited to loss of earnings and other employment, benefits, mental anguish, and emotional distress.’
