A Hitch In Time, his biography on his early exploits, was published in 2019 and details the “series of jaw-dropping feats and bizarre situations from which, amazingly, he emerged unscathed.” Martin Freeman once remarked on The Graham Norton Show that Smart’s use of the Heimlich procedure prevented him from choking on crisps.
