Cory Monteith Death

On July 13, 2013, Monteith was found dead in his room at the Fairmont Pacific Rim Hotel in Vancouver. After a seven-night stay, Monteith was supposed to check out that day; but, when he didn’t, hotel workers entered his room about midday and discovered his body. Although the cause of death was not immediately evident, the Vancouver Police Department ruled out foul play.

Ryan Murphy, the creator of the series, saw the video but noted that the actor in it had to be singing because Glee auditioning performers had to demonstrate their ability to sing and dance in addition to their acting abilities.

The Glee ensemble embarked on a two-week live tour in May 2010 that included dates in Los Angeles, Phoenix, Chicago, and New York City.

In between songs, the cast performed many sketches and songs from the performance. The cast embarked on a second tour in May of that year, performing for four weeks in the United States and Canada and 11 days in England and Ireland. This tour featured mostly new songs and sketches.
