BREAKING: Millions Lost As Fire Razes Potiskum Central Market In Yobe

Tragedy struck in Potiskum Central Market in Yobe State, Thursday evening as fire razed about 3 shops at the Tailoring side, and destroyed goods worth millions of naira.

Materials, clothes, household items, decoration materials, generators, and electronics were among the goods destroyed by the inferno in the affected shops.

Reports showed that no one has sustained injury due to the fire that led to confusion and apprehension. The incident occurred around 7:00pm.

Although the source of the fire has not been confirmed, Nasiru Mato Chairman United Marketers Association (UMAPO), Potiskum branch told ngnews247.com that last two years similar disaster occurred in the same area.

The arrival of fire service stopped the fire from spreading to other areas.
