Border Closure: Pastor Adeboye Blasts Buhari Govt.

The General Overseer of The Redeemed Christian Church of God (RCCG) Pastor Enoch Adeboye has cautioned against the plans hike of Value Added Tax (VAT) from 5 percent to 7.5 percent.

Naijaparry reports that the federal government is proposing the hike to fund infrastructure development in the country.

However, Adeboye noted that the move will put more burdens on Nigerian, describing it as insensitive.

He said this recently at the Special Independence Day Celebration of the church at its headquarters, RCCG, Throne of Grace, Ebute-Metta, Lagos.

Also, he faulted the closure of borders to importation of rice, saying it is ill-conceived because it has made the stable unavailable to Nigerians.
