World Cup 2018: Check Out What Lionel Messi Did At Barcelona Airport After Returning From Russia (Video)
Following Argentina’s elimination from the world cup, Lionel Messi, has returned to his base in Barcelona, Spain.
Lionel Messi, the Argentina captain, has returned to Barcelona after his country was eliminated from the ongoing 2018 FIFA World Cup in Russia.
Messi and his national team struggled to qualify for the round of 16.
The La Albiceleste eventually bowed out after narrowly losing 4-3 to France in Saturday’s ‘thriller.’
Goals from Angel Di Maria, Gabriel Marcado and Sergio Aguero were not enough as Kylian Mbappe’ s brace and goals from Benjamin Pavard and Antoine Griezmann secured the Les Blues their first ever World Cup win against Argentina in three meetings
He made straight to his car
However, in a video twitted by ESPN, Messi arrived Barcelona airport with a straight face.
The 31-year-old uncharacteristically ignored all the reporters waiting for his arrival.
The Barca number 10 walked straight into a parked jeep where his wife, Antonella Roccuzzo was waiting to take him home.
Messi only had his only goal at the 2018 World Cup in Russia against Nigeria.
