Brigite was a famous model from Philippines, who won Queen Philippines- Tourism '19 contest, Miss Redvocate 18 contest, Miss Trans Queen Hong Kong '17 content and Manila's V Prettiest '16 beauty contest.
Who was Brigite Salvatore?
Salvatore was the person behind the Model ciTizen, a documentary film about a Muslim transgender woman. She believed that “lots of issues that we should focus on in the trans community (but) education is the key to letting others understand what we are fighting for.”
She said Freedom and acceptance are only reachable if we can transmit our vision to others.” Brigite was first introduced to the Society of Transsexual Women of the Philippines (STRAP).
She said that it “opened her eyes to see the reality that each of us can do something to make a difference and that if we help one another, we can live peacefully and this world can be a better place for all of us”.
Brigite became a vocal advocate for transgender rights after that, particularly in the Philippines. She was a young model who had participated in several beauty contests.
Brigite was sent by Dakila – Philippine Collective for Modern Heroism to the HASIK Film Making Seminar in 2012.
She was given the opportunity to make the documentary film model ciTizen, after making it to the ALAB Finalists for the Active Vista Film Festival.
