Waterloo Station Security Alert: London Waterloo Evacuated Due To A Suspicious Package

Waterloo Station Security Alert: A major London station was evacuated this afternoon (Wednesday, June 15) over a “suspicious package”. The Waterloo station security alert caused the Jubilee line to be part-suspended between London Bridge and Green Park.

However, the incident has now been confirmed as non-suspicious by the Met Police and stood down. The remainder of the line was running with severe delays as many commuters faced issues getting home during the afternoon rush hour.

It’s a route many people use to commute both within London and to get to major stations so they can catch trains to destinations outside of the capital.

Waterloo is one of the busiest stations in Britain, having been the busiest station in the country most years.
