Vickie Remoe Bio – Vickie Remoe (born Vickie Emma Remoe-Doherty; 14 November 1984) is a Sierra Leonean entrepreneur, talk show host, and writer. She is the executive producer and host of the Vickie Remoe Show, which airs on AYV TV. She is the host of the Make Sierra Leone Famous podcast and publisher of the Swit Salone.

She was born in Freetown, Sierra Leone’s coastal capital. Her father, Victor Remoe-Doherty, born in Lagos, was an officer in the Sierra Leone Police Force. Her mother, Nasratha Bakie Remoe-Doherty, was a diplomat at Sierra Leone Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation. Vickie is the youngest of five siblings and the only child among her parents. Vickie’s paternal great-grandfather was J.H. Doherty, the Merchant Prince of Lagos.

After returning from the US, Vickie launched the first season of her talk show on Sierra Leone Broadcasting Service in 2009. The show aired from 2009-2011 with notable guests including Madieu Williams, Yvonne Nelson, Nneka, and Sorie Kondi. She took a break from the show to attend graduate school in 2011. After graduate school she moved to Accra, Ghana where she worked as a marketing consultant to Printex Limited. After a seven-year production break, the Vickie Remoe Show was rebooted in 2018 for AYV TV. In 2019, the TV Show secured sponsorship for the new season from Orange. The rebooted season featured an episode about teen moms going back to school in Moyamba, Southern Sierra Leone. After that season, Vickie was appointed Girl Ambassador by Save The Children Sierra Leone.
In 2020, in the early months of the coronavirus pandemic, Vickie fundraised $60,000 in three months for emergency relief for hospitals in Sierra Leone. During the pandemic she published two children’s books, Adama Loves Akara and A Print for Ami.
