Transfer News: Enrique Slams Liverpool For Letting Top Star Leave

Former Liverpool left-back, Jose Enrique has said that the club has made a mistake in allowing Roberto Firmino leave this summer.

Firmino has signed for Saudi Pro League side, Al-Ahli after leaving Anfield as a free agent last month.

He won every major trophy on offer with the Reds and was one of Jurgen Klopp’s most important players.

“I actually believe this is a massive mistake from Liverpool letting him go because if he is still fit he is better than Gakpo, Darwin so … But all the best, a big legend for the Reds!” Enrique wrote on Instagram.

The Brazil international scored 111 goals and 79 assists in 362 games for Liverpool, but his true contribution to the team transcends numbers.
