Sulemana Abdul Samed: Meet The Ghanaian World Tallest Man

Sulemana Abdul Samed Biography: 29-year-old Sulemana Abdul Samed from Ghana might be the World’s tallest man allegedly measuring 9 feet 6 inches. Hailing from a village in Northern Ghan, Samed was diagnosed with gigantism a few years ago, as per BBC.

The local clinic, however, could not be sure of his height as they did not have the appropriate measuring tools. ‘The way they measure me, I cannot say everything is perfect,’ said Samed.

BBC reporter went on a quest to find the truth about Abdul Samed’s height. After tirelessly searching for a building against whom his height could be measured as Samed is taller than most of the houses in the village, they found a wall tall enough to mark his height and found it to be 7ft 4 inches. Notably, the world’s tallest man currently measures 8 feet 2.8 inches.

“I’m still growing tall. Who knows, maybe one day I may get to that height too,” Samed remarked. “Every three months of four months I grow… If you’ve not seen me for three months or four and you see me, you’d realise I have increased,” he added.

Abdul Samed first noticed his increasing height when he was 22 years old and lived in the capital Accra. He recounted that one morning he woke up to find his tongue expanded in his mouth to an extent that he could not breathe properly.
