Story Of Two Billionaires That Will Teach You Greatest Lesson On Success

-Bisi Adewale

Most people see success as having many cars, houses, money in several banks home and abroad and having so many things that money can buy.

Truth, however is, success is much more than this. If having money and properties are what we call success, then we have limited success to being financial success alone and nothing more. Financial success is not all there is to success and on its own alone, will never bring fulfillment to anyone.

Having enough money and being a success financially is good and necessary for an individual
to be able to cater for a variety of needs, yet financial success alone is never enough to give one a life of peace and joy. There are many other areas of life in which we need to have success. The stories of many millionaires and billionaires that committed suicide are enough to
tell you that success in life is more than money.

1.HUIBERT BOUMEEST

This 49 year old millionaire banker shot himself dead. It could not be established whether he resigned from his job willingly or was compelled to do so. However, the reason for his death was attributed to loss of his job. He had risen to the post of Chief Financial Officer in the bank, had set up a foundation for promotion of culture in various nations and, to his credit, he was the director of three different charities. His bank was taken over by the Royal Bank of Scotland which plunged it into huge losses. He held six licensed guns/rifles and went missing one day, then the police found his dead body and his identity was confirmed by his bereaved family.

2.ADOLF MERCKLE

Shortly before 5pm on a Monday night, Adolf Merckle quietly put on his coat, told his wife & I have to go to the office for a while;, and drove to a railway embankment near his home, where he lay on the frozen tracks and waited patiently for death. Merckle was once ranked as one of the 100 richest men in the world, with an £8.5 billion personal fortune, but he had seen his wealth ebbing away as the global recession took hold, leaving him a ;broken; man, according to his family. To casual observers, it appeared that the 74-year- old businessman had committed suicide, because he was unable to cope with losing the sort of riches the rest of us could only dream of.

Stories like these are enough to convince us that money is not enough as a source of joy. The
Bible makes it clear that money is needed as it answers all things.

“A feast is made for laughter, and wine maketh merry: but money answereth all things.”
Ecclesiastes 10:19

Money is also a defence, according to the Bible.

“For wisdom is a defence, and money is a defence: but the excellency of knowledge is, that
wisdom giveth life to them that have it.” Ecclesiastes 7:12

Beyond all these, however, the Bible stresses for all time that what is needed for life and fulfillment is more than cash, stock and wealth.

“[1] There is an evil which I have seen under the sun, and it is common among men

[2] A man to whom God hath given riches, wealth, and honour, so that he wanteth nothing for
his soul of all that he desireth, yet God giveth him not power to eat thereof, but a stranger eateth
it: this is vanity, and it is an evil disease.

[3] If a man beget an hundred children , and live many years, so that the days of his years be
many, and his soul be not filled with good, and also that he have no burial; I say, that an untimely birth is better than he.

[4] For he cometh in with vanity, and departeth in darkness, and his name shall be covered with
darkness. Ecclesiastes 6:1-4
Success is more than the accumulation of money in banks. True success is an ALL ROUND one. In this book I will be teaching you how to have all-round success; in other words, success in all aspects of your life. It is all-around success when it touches all important areas of life affecting both the quality of living and the life itself thus making one fulfilled.
