SO SAD! Ex-Nigerian footballer dies while chasing a man who duped him in Brazil
An ex Nigerian footballer, Chukwuneta Anyabolu popularly called Changa or Chassis, reportedly died tragically shortly after he moved to Brazil from his original abode in Thailand.
Anyabolu’s untimely death came after he was reportedly duped of goods worth several millions of dollars, by his associate identified as Daniel and Ezenwa who are also Nigerians from Nnewi, Anambra State.
The ex Nigerian footballer, who failed to remit profits made from the transactions was threatened with an arrest on March 16th if he fails to pay back the money, or return goods supplied top him. The threat pushed him into searching the whole of Brazil, for Daniel and Ezenwa. After weeks of searching, the ex-footballer got information that one of his friends who duped him was sighted in a building in the city centre.
Anyabolu who stormed the building with policemen, however lost Ezenwa who slipped through Police net shortly after his arrest in one of the top floors of the building. It was gathered that while being taken to the police vehicle, a smart Ezenwa escaped and jumped through the window from the third floor. Anyabolu and the policeman who chased after Ezenwa who was familiar with the terrain and landed safely on a platform, were not lucky as they landed badly on the hard concrete floor. The cop landed on his feet, breaking his sheen, Anyabolu, who was in his fifties landed with his head and died instantly.
Few months ago, we reported that Nigerian footballer and Kano Pillars defender, Chinedu Udoji, who reportedly won the man of the match following his impressive performance in a Nigerian Premier League Match, died in an auto-crash after the match.
It was gathered that the Nigerian footballer, who was former Enyimba FC captain died in an accident while heading back to the Pillars club house, after the NPFL Week 9 match against his former club Enyimba, which ended in a 1-1 draw.
