Sir Michael Fowler Death Cause: Sir Michael Fowler was born in Marton on December 19, 1929, to William Coulson Fowler and Faith Agnes Netherclift. He attended Manchester Street School in Feilding and Christ’s College in Christchurch before going on to study architecture at Auckland University College between 1950 and 1952, gaining a Diploma of Architecture.

Later, he returned to the University of Auckland, where he earned a Master of Architecture degree in 1973.

Besides being an Architect, Fowler ventured into Politics. In 1968, He was elected to the Wellington City Council for the first time. Four years later, he ran for the National Party’s Hutt parliamentary seat in the 1972 general election, finishing second to Labour’s Trevor Young.

Fowler was a great guy. He won many awards including receiving Queen Elizabeth II’s silver Jubliee award in 1977 and was later appointed Knight Bachelor in recognition of his service as the Mayor of Wellington.

Sir Michael Fowler gave up his breath on July 12, 2022, at the age of 92. His cause of death has not been made public.
