Reports said that the suspects abducted Bailey Jordan Chitty and Lauren Patricia Catherine Tilley who were volunteering in Ghana.

Reacting to the locking up of the shops, the chairman of the Nigerian Union of Traders Association, Kizito Obiora, said the attack began last week.

According to him, the attackers closed their shops and told them to return to Nigeria.

Although the police intervened, some men came back on Monday to forcefully close the shops.
