Pearl Shongwe was discovered dead in her Waterfall apartment on Tuesday, according to the SABC.
Tuesday, Pearl’s family announced her passing.
Family spokesman Khehla Tshabalala said in a statement that the woman “died away in her sleep.” Shongwe, according to her family, passed away in her Johannesburg home. The family requests privacy to mourn.
