Northern Irishman Patrick Barron “Paddy” Hopkirk, born 14 April 1933, is a former rally driver. He took home a Coupe d’Argent in the Alpine Rally in 1965.

He came in second place at the second Rally of Portugal in 1968. The next year, driving a Triumph 2.5 PI alongside teammates Tom Nash and Neville Johnston, he came in second in the Circuit of Ireland and fourth at the 1970 London to Mexico World Cup Rally. In 1977, he participated in the Singapore Airlines London to Sydney Rally, a resurrected version of the London-Sydney Marathon, this time driving a Citroen CX 2400, and finished third overall.

Hopkirk, who was born in Belfast, attended Trinity College in Dublin from 1949 to 1953 after studying there from 1945 to 1949 at Clongowes Wood College in County Kildare.

The MBE Honor was given to Hopkirk in the 2016 New Year’s Honours list.
