Oyo Records 85 New Cases Of COVID-19, Discharges 91 Patients

The COVID-19 confirmation tests for eighty-five (85) suspected cases came back positive, Oyo state governor, Seyi Makinde announced.

The cases are from Ibadan N (17), Ibadan SW (13), Oyo E (9), Ido (8), Lagelu (7), Oluyole (6), Orelope (3), Akinyele (3), Egbeda (3), Ibadan NE (3), Ona Ara (2), Atiba (2), Ogbomosho S (2), Iseyin (2), Ibadan SE (1), Ogbomosho N (1), Oyo W (1), Ibadan NW (1) & Ibarapa C (1) LGAs.

The governor stated this in a series of tweets on Saturday morning. This brings the total number of confirmed cases in Oyo State to 1,689.

Meanwhile, the state government also announced the discharged of ninety-one (91) confirmed COVID-19 cases after they received their second negative est results. With this, the number of discharged cases in Oyo State to 925.

The governor advised residents to call the Emergency Operations Centre on 08095394000 | 08095863000 | 08078288999 | 08078288800 or visit a community-based testing centre, if they feel any COVID-19 symptoms: cough, fever, tiredness, body ache, loss of smell/taste and shortness of breath.
