Oyo: Governor Makinde Appoints First Female SSG

Governor Seyi Makinde of Oyo has named Olubamiwo Adeosun as Secretary to the State Government (SSG).

Adeosun is the Country Implementation Lead of Shell Business Operations (SBO), Nigeria.

Makinde announced the appointment in a statement on Friday with Adeosun a full member of the Chartered Institute of Personnel Management (CIPM).

The first female SSG in the State hails from Ile Mato, Oranyan area in Ibadan North East Local Government.

“I’m proud to attract Mrs Olubamiwo Adeosun, a talented technocrat at Shell Petroleum Development Company (SPDC) to support me to drive our transformation agenda in order to realise the vision of embedding prosperity in Oyo State,” the statement said.

Makinde described the appointment as in tandem with “his firm belief in women’s inclusiveness and diversity in government.”
