Nigerian Shop Owners Resort to Powering Their Generators With Gas Amid Petrol Price Hike

A social media user shared a video of a commercial hub where business owners are using gas to power their generators instead of petrol.

He visited two different shops and saw that they connected a gas cylinder to the generator and were using it to power the set which in turn provided electricity for their office.

The man said that they were able to use N2k worth of gas to provide interrupted power for about 12 hours.

In the clip, he went around the building and showed netizens the alternative means of power that he saw and found to be impressive.

This comes amid the removel of fuel following the pronouncement by President Bola Tinubu on May 29.
