Nigerian Idol 2022 Top 9: Watch Zadok, Progress, Itohan, Others Live Performance
Gerald Ifechi was on Sunday night eliminated from the Nigerian Idol season seven.
The singer, who had secured a golden ticket and made it to the top 12, gave a spectacular performance last week with his rendition of ‘Ifunanya’, a song by Psquare.
To get in the top 12, the vocalist had thrilled the audience with the cover of ‘Leave the Door Open’, a song by Silk Sonic, which won record of the year and song of the year at the 64th Grammy Awards.
Following his elimination, the top 9 contestants, with backup from 121 Selah, a gospel choir, performed a cover of Cynthia Erivo’s ‘Stand Up’ — after which the nine contestants blessed the stage with their moving and individual performances.
