Winner of the Nigerian Idol Season 2 and gospel music star, Mercy Chinwo, is excited as she gets engaged to Pastor Blessed Uzochikwa of Waterbrook church where singer, Banky W also pastors in.

The 2012 Nigerian Idol Season 2 winner shared photos on her Instagram page moments ago.

The seductive 31-year-old singer, Chinwo wrote “I am blessed to be blessed with the blessed official. The thoughts of doing the next phase and the rest phase of my life with you makes the blessing more real… I love you Sweet”

Also announcing the good news, the groom-to-be, Pastor blessed wrote “I’M THE MAN THE LORD SHOWED MERCY! Mercy Chinwo, thanks for saying YES!

Chinwo was born on September 5, 1991, in Portharcourt, Rivers State. She lost her father at a very young age.

Chinwo released her first single, “Testimony”, in 2015, and “Igwe” a year later. In 2017, Mercy Chinwo is a Gospel music Minister.

A year after winning Nigerian Idol, she landed her first film role in Yvonne Nelson‘s film, House of Gold where she acted as Lucia, starring alongside Yvonne Nelson, Majid Michel and Omawumi among others. The film House of Gold won Best Picture at the Ghana Movie Awards and Best Ghanaian Movie at the 2013 City People.
