P-Prime Biography

P-Prime real name Peace Emmanuel Oredope was born on the 28th March, 2002 in Lagos State. He is a Nigerian singer, songwriter, and sound producer. He finished his secondary school education at an early age of 14, and began producing music a year lalater.

P-prime father was the leader of the brigade at church, hence he got introduced to music at an early age. P-Priime’s brother is also a drummer and with their Dad’s help, was able to put him through on how to play drums.

P-Prime Career

P-Priime stated in an interview with CultureCustodian.com that he discovered his passion for music at a very early age. In those days, because he was always drumming as a child, you’d sometimes hear his mother teasing him about breaking the plastics in her shop.

P-Priime’s first step into music production was when his father got a music teacher to teach him how to play the piano. His elder brother also helped him with transition to becoming a producer.

P-Priime at a point, tried producing but couldn’t carry on with it due to some reasons. He started experimenting with FL studio on his sister’s laptop after graduating from secondary school.

After learning the basics of music production, he also discovered that he could hone his skills by watching YouTube tutorials. He used YouTube to learn, until his brother opened a recording studio.

P-Priime has worked with a number of Nigerian superstars including Ice Prince, Fireboy DML, Burna Boy, Terri, Zlatan Ibile, Oxlade, DJ Cuppy and Good Girl LA.

He stated in a recent interview with Pulse Nigeria that his manager, The Cake linked him up with Zlatan after he told her that he had a fire beat for him.

About Adedamola Adefolahan (Fireboy), they met during a studio session, when the ‘Jealous’ crooner appreciated his works and signified that he’d like them to keep work together.

Working for Gbasky was a different case as they both are under the same management, Incubation Factory Entertainment Limited.
