“Laney was more than a best friend. She was my family and soulmate. I can’t explain the depth of the bond we had. She was a genuine, hilarious, thoughtful, talented, and beautiful soul. Her art and spirit are unparalleled, making the world a better place. My last memory with her was riding on four wheelers in the woods in Michigan until sunset. Laney, you deserved the world and were loved by so many people. You forever changed my life and taught me, unconditional love. You were a gift and I cherish every moment spent with you. I will carry you in my heart forever. I know we will meet again.”

Chantal’s family revealed in a public obituary that she had died on October 31 in Milford, Michigan, from an unintentional drug overdose.
Alaina’s celebration of life luncheon will take place on Saturday, November 12; according to the family, the location will be revealed later and shared on social media.
