Bellingham remained a constant in the starting eleven on matchdays, occasionally filling in as a substitute. In January 2020, he was linked to a number of top teams; on deadline day, Birmingham was rumored to have rejected a £20 million offer from Manchester United.
At the time, there was widespread belief that Bellingham would move out of Birmingham. It was also said that he and his father had visited a number of prominent teams, with Manchester United and Bundesliga team Borussia Dortmund being their top picks.

The first was the result of a quick attack that he started and finished, and the fourth was a deftly curving shot that came in after halftime. These plays helped Borussia Dortmund finish in the top four of the league.
On May 28, 2023, Bayern Munich emerged victorious in the Bundesliga when league leaders Borussia Dortmund lost two points in a 2–2 draw with Mainz 05 on the league’s penultimate day.

Borussia Dortmund revealed on June 7 that Bellingham will be moving to Real Madrid in La Liga following the conclusion of the 2022–2023 season.
