JAMB ‘Standardised’ Method Of Checking 2019 UTME Results

The Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) on Saturday announced the release of 1,792,719 results of candidates who sat for the 2019 Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME) .

NAIJAPARRY understands that more than 1.8 million candidates sat for the 2019 UTME from April 11 to April 18.

Registrar of the examination body Professor, Prof Is-haq Oloyede, announced the release of the results on Saturday morning in Abuja.

The JAMB boss said that due to various infractions the board withheld the results of 34,120 for various infractions.

The registrar also said that 15,145 results were withheld for further clarification.

This news medium had reported on Friday that the registrar said JAMB would release the results on Saturday.

How To Check 2019 UTME Results?

JAMB had revealed that it had standardised its result checker process, saying that candidates who sat for the 2019 UTME can check their results via their phones through a text message with a registration number.

“Candidates should not bother themselves going to any cyber cafe to check any result. Our result check has been standardised. We will forward the results to the respective telephone numbers of those candidates who are deserving of it,” spokesman for the board, Fabian Benjamin, had said in April.

Steps to check results:

  1. Send RESULT as an SMS to 55019 using the same number that was used for registration.
  2. An SMS will be sent back to your phone carrying your UTME 2019 results.

JAMB said it simplified the way to check results for the 2019 examination to avoid extortion of candidates.

More than 1.2 million candidates sat for the 2019 UTME from April 11 to April 18.
