Jackie Mac was born to Margarethe and Fred MacMullan in Manhasset New York, United States in October 7, 1960.

Her family was in a more organized place where other siblings gather to play hockey and she was into street hockey as a young girl.

MacMullan was the first girl to have street hockey net in her neighborhood which guarantee her freedom to also play hockey as a young child since other boys who participated in the game won’t let her play.

Jackie went to Westwood High School in Massachusetts. In her high school days, Jackie played on the hockey team and was coach by Kathy Delaney-Smith.
