Hanks Anuku is a popular Nollywood actor known as the bad boi of Nollywood. He acts mostly in action thriller movies and always play criminal, villain and hit man role in movies. He has been in the industry for over two decades.

After spending so many years in the United States of America, Hanks Anuku returned back to Nigeria and joined the Nigerian movie industry popularly known as Nollywood in early 2000 and acted in his first movie “The Skeleton” a movie that gave him an advantage in Nollywood and attracted him to movie producers and directors in Nigeria. In 2003, Hanks Anuku rose to fame after starring in the Nollywood political action thriller movie “The Senator” a movie that earned him an award for Best Actor in a Leading Role at the Africa Movie Academy Awards.

He always plays the role of a bad guy in movies and has an American accent because of the many years he has spent in America. Hanks Anuku is very handsome, gifted, skillful, creative and talented in acting and interpretation of movie roles. He knows how to interpret his role very well and can fit in any character given to him by movie directors and producers in Nigeria. Due to his tough look and physical appearance, movie directors and producers choose to give him tough roles and characters in movies.

The actor has a family: a wife and children. On Instagram, we can see cute photos of Anuku’s happy family. There he was captured with his wife and two younger children (son and daughter.) Looking at the picture, we assume that Hanks is very happy in his family life.

Also, his account has several photos of a young lady, signed as ‘My first daughter.’

In August 2015, controversial Nollywood actor Hanks Anuku was involved in a bike accident in Nungua, Ledzokuku-Krowor area of Accra in Ghana. That year rumors spread all over Nigeria and Ghana that the gangster actor was dead, but during an interview with the media, Hanks Anuku debunks the rumors saying I am not dead, I am still alive. In 2015, Hanks Anuku was heartbroken after news went viral especially on social media, accusing him for testing positive to HIV/AIDS and deliberately infecting his wife with the deadly virus.

“I got tested while I was in Zambia after one of my girlfriends advised me about her pregnancy. She had gone for pregnancy tests and during that time, she was tested for HIV and the results were shocking, she was positive. She forced me to get tested but I could not come to terms with the results. After I got tested, I came back to Zimbabwe and I kept quiet about the issue. I never told my wife about the issue. I infected her, but I regret. Later on, I received some counseling and it went well,”

Hanks said his fame misled him into doing things which he wasn’t proud of.

“During my peak of popularity, I had s*x with approximately 80 women, within Harare and Zambia. In 2002 it was so amazing to be on TV. I abused the fame. To make matters worse, I lacked counseling and I failed to handle it properly,
