Matthew Opaluwa has been presented with the staff of office as the 28th Attah of Igalaland.
Yahaya Bello, Kogi state governor, presented the staff of office to the monarch on Friday.
According to Onogwu Muhammed, chief press secretary to the governor, the event took place at the attah's palace in Idah and featured a crowd of supporters.
The Kogi state council had, in October 2021, approved Opaluwa's appointment as the attah, following his nomination by kingmakers.
The development came more than two years after the demise of Idakwo Michael Ameh Oboni II who previously held the position of Attah Igala.
