FPE SU ELECTION: SURC CONSTITUTES ISEC BODY 

NAIJAPARY Reporter G.song gathered that the Federal Polytechnic Ede Students’ Union Representative Council in an in – house election on Friday approved the appointments of five Electoral Commissioners for the Independent Students Electoral Commission (ISEC) for the forth coming Student’s Union election in the School .

The Student Union Representative Council yesterday in her seating constituted a new ISEC Body,a body that is charged with the responsibility of conducting and overseeing the forth coming Student Union Election.

The House conducted a free and fair election where the incoming ISEC members exercised their franchise.

In the house proceedings,Olaleye Afeez from Marketing Department,School of Business Studies secured all 21 votes and emerged as the Electoral commission PRO , Adesoji Fagbowore from Banking and Finance,school of Business Studies secured 13 votes of 21 and emerged as the General Secretary of the Commission while Lawal Ebenezer from Computer Science Department, School of Applied Science secured 13 votes of 21 votes and emerged as the Financial Secretary, for the post of treasurer Animashaun Oluwaseun from Accountancy Department, School of Business Studies polled a vote of 13 out of 21 while for the prime post of chairman, Ayemu Abayomi Emmanuel popularly known as Igbeti secured a total vote of 13 out of 21 votes, emerged as the body Chairman, the speaker of the Students union Representative Council SURC comr. (Hon) Ganiyu Ramon O. made the announcement following the voting session.

NAIJAPARY Reporter G.song gathered that the Speaker of the house therefore dissolve the former ISEC Body, following the vest of power ,Ayemu Abayomi Emmanuel, the newly elected ISEC Chairman who is from the Department of Hospitality, leisure and Tourism Management(HLTM), subsequently took his oath before the Federal Polytechnic Ede Students union Representative Council assembly while the other newly elected four also took their oath of allegiance.

iii. Lawal Ebenezer – Comp. Science – FIN. SEC
iv. Animashaun Oluwaseun – Accountancy – TREASURER
