Multiple award-winning rapper Michael Owusu Addo popularly known as Sarkodie, has added his voice to the #FixTheCountry campaign.

The artiste on his Twitter handles shared a post saying he has always supported #FixTheCountry agenda since the beginning of his music career.

He said, “I know they (politicians and political party followers) intentionally politicise my opinion (even when they know it’s the truth) to save their party, thinking I’m attacking a particular party.”

According to Sarkodie, he doesn’t pay heed to any one who politicises his opinion neither does he explain himself because “people with political ears and eyes will never accept it and try to attack my submission.”

This, he said has been one of the stumbling blocks that hinders progress in the country.

Sarkodie reiterated that he supports both #FixTheCountry and #FixYourself but he beliefs that government has more to do for citizens to fix themselves.

“It takes exceptionally discipline people to try and live right in all messed up system that frustrates your day to day activities. If you fix the system then you can blame the people 100% for not fixing themselves and that’s why you are leaders,” he opined.

“Fixing the country automatically fixes the people…God bless my country Ghana,” he added.
