Fed Poly Ede Student Dies During Football Match

Hammed, an ND2 student of Federal Polytechnic Ede slumped and died earlier today during a football match organised by his department.

The young man, who was studying Business Administration Management was said to have collapsed in the middle of the pitch and was immediately rushed to the Polytechnic health centre.

Student confirmed this evening’s incident at the Sport Pavilion, further disclosing the rush of the School of Business Studies Student to the school hospital.

According to an eyewitness said: “An ND2 student Hammed by named slump and died today

“He slump on the field during a football match, rushed to the medical before he was transferred to lautech but later gave up”

Also, the Sport director of the school of Business studies who confirmed the incident said that the body of the deceased will be released tomorrow because officer in charge at the police station to sign the form yet to be around till 7:30am tomorrow morning

The students, however, embarked on a peaceful protest as a way of showing their dissatisfaction at the way the issue was handled.

School officials who speaks with our correspondent said after the bad incident that counsel was given to students.
