Election 2019: See the staggering number of people who have collected their PVC

INEC has revealed the amazing number of people who collected their PVCs successfully before the 2019 election.

The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) says that at least 72 million Nigerians have collected their permanent electoral cards before the 2019 election.

Mahmood Yakubu, commission chairman, announced this at Thursday’s press briefing in Abuja.

He said that the 72.7 million Nigerians who collected PVCs represent 86.3 percent of the country’s more than 84 million registered voters.

The commission said the total number of registered voters in the country was 84,004,084 – only 42 percent of the population of Nigeria, which currently stands at 198 million.

54 million eligible voters collected their PVCs at the last general election in 2015.
