Born on October 11, 1994, in Maputo, Clésio initially played for Ferroviário and emerged as the top scorer in Moçambola with 6 goals. In September 2012, he signed with Benfica and officially joined the Portuguese club in January 2013. Before joining Benfica, he expressed his inspiration to follow in the footsteps of Eusébio. Initially assigned to the under-19 side, Clésio played nine matches and scored twice.

On March 14, 2014, he was loaned to the American club Harrisburg City Islanders in the United Soccer League. Clésio made a significant impact during his loan, playing a total of 20 appearances and scoring five goals. After returning to Benfica, he moved to Benfica B in the Segunda Liga, making his debut on February 1, 2015. He scored his first goal for Benfica B on May 24, 2015, with a remarkable individual effort.

On January 30, 2016, Clésio signed a three-year deal with the Greek side Panetolikos and made his Greek Superleague debut on February 8, 2016.

On February 28, 2023, Clésio signed a multi-year contract with Honka in Finland. However, after the season, Honka declared bankruptcy, leading to Clésio’s release. In January 2024, Clésio returned to Azerbaijan and re-signed with Gabala.

At the youth level, Clésio participated in the 2013 COSAFA U-20 Cup.
