Ospina began his career at Atlético Nacional in 2005, where he achieved two domestic titles and made a total of 97 appearances for the club. In 2008, he transferred to French side Nice for an undisclosed fee and became the long-term replacement for Hugo Lloris. During his time at Nice, Ospina gained recognition for his skills as a goalkeeper and his potential for greatness.

In 2014, Ospina joined Arsenal on a four-year deal. He won three trophies with the club during his time in London, including the FA Cup in 2015 and 2017, as well as the 2017 FA Community Shield. Ospina’s performances earned him a place on the FIFA Ballon d’Or longlist in 2015.
