Goedert was chosen by the Philadelphia Eagles in the 49th overall position of the second round of the 2018 NFL Draft. The Eagles moved up in the second round, ahead of the Dallas Cowboys (50th overall), to take Goedert by trading their second (52nd overall) and fifth (169th overall) round picks to the Indianapolis Colts.
