COZA: Court Rules On Busola Dakolo’s Rape Suit Against Pastor Fatoyinbo

Busola Dakolo ‘s rape suit against Pastor Biodun Fatoyinbo of the Commonwealth of Zion Assembly (COZA) has been ruled out by a High Court in Bwari, Abuja.

Naijaparry understands that this is coming after Fatoyinbo filed an objection and affidavit maintaining that Busola’s claim was to tarnish his image.

The celebrity photographer had accused Fatoyinbo of raping her on two different occasions in 2002 in her family house when she was a teenager.

Meanwhile, Fatoyinbo stated that the photographer had contacted the press before making the accusation and brought the civil action even while the Police’s investigation was ongoing.

However, in her judgement, Justice Oathman Musa held that the matter amounted to injustice, describing the case as an abuse of judicial process.

She added that the case was empty and purely sentimental, as the case was aimed more at cruelty than obtaining justice.

The court also ordered Busola to pay a sum of N1 million for ‘cruelty to the pastor’ and held that the fine should have been 10 times more because the court’s time was wasted.

The celebrity photographer had sued Fatoyinbo, demanding that the COZA Pastor publishes an apology to her on the front page of at least two national newspapers, noting that the apology should also run on two national television stations for seven days running consecutively.
