Bruno was a rising entertainer with a promising career when Rhythm City was cancelled. Bruno was a member of the Kwaito duo Gumshev before switching to acting.
However, just before the crew’s mainstream debut, Majola was sentenced to five years in a juvenile detention centre for robbery. Bruno converted this stumbling block into Gumshev’s debut album, logically titled Straight Out Of Prison.
He passed away at the age of 36.

Bruno was caught for armed robbery when he was 15 years old and sentenced to six years in the Leeuwkop Juvenile Facility in Johannesburg.
Following his release from prison in 2015, he spoke with music executive Lance Stehr to discuss a record deal with Ghetto Ruff.
A year later, he auditioned for the role of Bongani Khumalo in e.tv’s successful series Rhythm City.
Before his death, the multi-talented singer-songwriter recorded two albums and founded his own production business, Jamshack Records.
Bruno recorded his albums Sphandu Cash and Straight Out of Prison as part of the kwaito duo Gumshev.
He has also performed on stage with DJ Cleo, Bongani Fassie, Pro Kid, and many others.

Although Majola’s family has yet to release a statement, relatives and close acquaintances of the former Rhythm City star confirmed his death to City Press.
“I am not okay at all. I need to meet up with the family in order for us to put a statement together and send all the necessary information, but I can confirm that he has passed on,” said the relative.

The circumstances surrounding his demise are still unknown. According to accounts, the rapper-turned-actor died on Monday evening about 18:00. According to sources close to the Hosh rapper’s case, his lifeless body was discovered by his lover. It’s understood she was detained for questioning, but no word yet on whether police accuse her of being involved in the death.
Another anonymous source told Sunday World that early indications point to suicide, but without formal confirmation from the family, this remains very speculative.
