Ayomike Death: 7 Facts To Know About Pa Joe Ayomike, Wife Chinyere

An Emeritus Director of the Warri Choral Society (WCS), Pa Joe Ayomike and his wife, Chinyere have been found dead at their residence in Warri GRA, Delta state.

The deceased couple, renowned for their love for classical music in Nigeria, was found dead on Monday morning.

The late WCS director was younger brother to former chairman of the Itsekiri Leaders of Thoughts and historian, late Pa Johnson Oritsegbubemi Sunday Ayomike.

His wife, fondly called Chi-Chi, was a senior lecturer at the Delta State University, Abraka. Mr Monoyor Edon, wife, Mrs Roli Uduaghan, is a niece of the late Pa Ayomike

Though details surrounding their deaths were not clear as at press time, The Nation gathered the whereabouts of their security details were also reportedly unknown.

The late Ayomike founded the WCS in 1992 and organised a two-hour classical music concert, conducted by his wife, from time to time.

Son of the late Pa Joseph Ayomike, whose decomposing corpse and that of his wife were found on Monday at their GRA, Warri South Local Government Area, Delta State residence, Mr Itse Ayomike, based in United Kingdom, has said in a trending video that his father and the wife, Chichi, were shot, stabbed and cut by their assailants.

He said in the video: “Brothers and sisters, it is with a heavy heart I announce the death of my great father, Mr Joseph Ayomike, who was found together with his wife murdered in his bedroom. He was found shot, cut with machete and stabbed. May his soul rest in peace, may her soul rest in peace.”
