ASUU Lists Reasons For Going on Strike Again (See Details)

Yesterday the The Academic Staff Union of Universities (ASUU) declared an Indefinite Nationwide Strike.

The Announcement caused an uproar online with Social Media users and students grumbling of how it will affect them, Because times without numbers, or almost all the time ASUU had begins strike its always takes months, Which on the other way round delays students and increases their years of studies.

Now yesterday, after the declaration the president of the Union (ASUU) Professor Abiodun Ogunyemi listed reasons for the strike.

He said the body took the decision to embark on strike as a result of poor funding of the nation’s universities.

That is it due to Failure on the side of the government to honor the memorandum of action signed between the union & the federal govt in 2017.

Renegotiation with ASUU which the Government intentionally ignored with impunity.

This is the second time this year ASUU has called on strike, last was in September.
