ASUP Strike: Federal Poly Ede Mgt announces Resumption of Academic Activities

Management has announced the Resumption of Academic Activities, declared public holiday for Democracy Day.

Sequel to the recent suspension of ASUP National Strike, the management had in a memo dated 11th June, 2021 duly signed by Elder E. A Aruwajoye for the registrar communicated to the polytechnic community on the status of academic activities that has been grounded for months.

The memo read partly;
“Following the suspension of the nationwide strike action embarked upon by the Academic Staff Union of Polytechnic (ASUP). I write to inform the Community that academic activities had commence immediately”.

The polytechnic management also commend the leadership of the Academic Staff Union of Polytechnics (ASUP) both at the national and local level for the brave decision taken.

Also, in a memo dated 11th June, 2021 signed by B. T Ogunwole (Mrs), the Rector had instructed that the Polytechnic be closed for duties on Monday June 14th 2021 except for staffs on essential duties, this is to abide by the federal government directives of Public Holiday to commemorate 2021 Democracy day in Nigeria.
