Morgan was born in the Los Angeles County suburb of San Dimas, California in the United States of America to Pamela Morgan and Michael Morgan. She shares the same parents with her two older sister, Jeni and Jeri.

She was a multi-sport athlete growing up, and her father served as one of her early coaches when she started playing soccer with AYSO.

However, she didn't start playing club soccer until she joined Cypress Elite at the age of 14. She competed for the club squad and finished third at the under-16 level in the Coast Soccer League (CSL).
