Ajayi Crowther University student dies in accident after graduation thanksgiving

An Ajayi Crowther University student identified simply as Dara, reportedly died in an accident on her way home from her graduation thanksgiving which was held yesterday in Ibadan, Oyo State.

A friend of the late Ajayi Crowther University student, who shared the story on social media wrote;

I took this picture with this lady about three hours ago at her graduation venue. We had a fatal accident on our way back from her Graduation Thanksgiving. She died on the spot. 4Badly injured. God and Seat Belt Saved me.

Few months ago, we also reported that a Post-graduate student of Economics at the University of Lagos, UNILAG, was crushed to death by a train in Ikeja area of Lagos, Southwest Nigeria.

The train coming from Sango area in Ogun State towards Iddo Terminal in Lagos killed the young man in his mid 30s at Anifowoshe area in Ikeja. The tragedy occurred occurred along the railway line at about 8:00 am around Ajayi Farms in the Anifowoshe area.

The victim was said to have died instantly after being knocked out from the rail track by the fast moving train. A University of Lagos identity card bearing Fatai Mutiu Abolade, in the department of Economics, Faculty of Social Sciences was found in the deceased bag.

Other items, including a laptop, the charger, passport photographs and other personal items were also found in his bag. It was gathered that the deceased could not hear the loud sound of the approaching train as he was having an ear-piece in his ears.

The corpse had since been taken away by Police officers attached to the Ikeja Police Division at about 10:00 am. On his facebook wall, the deceased bagged his first degree in Economics at the Olabisi Onabanjo University, OOU and was the Managing Director/Chief Executive Officer, Fathom Consulting Services and got married in 2013.
