30,000 APC, AA Members Dump Party For PDP In Delta

Disillusioned members All Progressive Congress ( APC) and Action Alliance ( AA) of no fewer than 30,000 on Friday dumped party for the ruling People’s Democratic Party ( PDP) in Delta state.
The angry members from Ewulu, Ishaegu and other Communities in Aniocha South and North local government areas of the state set ablaze their brooms including membership cards of APC, and AA, describing the parties as umbrella for setback and retrogressive.

Leaders and followers of APC and AA parties who claimed that interest of they Joining the parties then was its mouth watering offers by President Muhammadu Buhari with the slogan” change for all”, adding that rather witnessing the Change as the parties’ sing song, they have been faced with hardship, and mindless killings by Suspected Fulani hersdmen almost everyday.

One of the leaders, Maxwell Unosa who spoke to our Correspondent at the Ogwashi Uku Community field, however Commended the state Governor, Mr Ifeanyi Okowa for providing enabling environment that attracted other Political Parties to have interest in Joining the state ruling Party and for appointing their sons and daughters to various Political offices in the state.

But Mr Joe Adigwe thanked the state Governor for the relief materials sent to members of various wards in both local government areas during the Covid-19 Pandemic disease lockdown to alleviate the sufferings of the people, adding that Okowa is detribalised Governor who in the last five years had transformed the state into mini London.

The leaders said” We had to return to PDP our real base to actualize our Political ambitions, APC, AA are deadly virus, and they are setback, we are grateful to be home again, We are however appealing to the state Governor to Construct Isheagu,/ Ewulu road so as to make life easier for the people”adding that Okowa deserves more than Road Master and Promised to Continue to show solidarity to any flag bearer of the party come 2020.

Responding, the state Chairman of the People’s Democratic Party ( PDP) Mr Kingsley Esiso, while Congratulating the new members, however assured them of the Party Continued assistance to members, but warned against anti- Party activities among members, adding” PDP will take over the leadership of Nigeria in 2023, APC , AA have not performed at all, especially APC that has failed Nigerians, and it does not deserve any vote from Nigerians, we in Delta state are very united, and organized, we will continue to pray for long life and prosperity for our members”.
